Chateau Verde in U.P. Diliman

I used to go to Chateau Verde with friends but I never had a chance to bring my family there until last Saturday. We were scheduled to attend the Parent-Teacher Conference at the kids’ school in the morning and since these conferences usually last for a few hours, I thought we would finish just in time for an early lunch–lunch at Chateau Verde and then coffee and dessert at Chocolate Kiss.
We arrived at Chateau Verde at the most appropriate moment. It was around 11.00 o’clock and the lunch crowd had not started to come in. I was going to recommend the pasta dishes to my family but, to my surprise, there was a buffet which, according to the floor manager, was only offered on weekends for the benefit of regular customers. My younger daughter, the pasta fiend in the family, opted for pasta while her sister, dad and I went for the buffet. It was a great lunch.
The buffet is at PhP 310.00 per person. Our total bill was a little over PhP 1,100.00. Not bad at all. The only letdown was that rain started to pour just as we were about to leave for Chocolate Kiss for our coffee and dessert. Since we would have to take a short walk from the parking area to Chocolate Kiss, considering the heavy downpour, we decided to visit Chocolate Kiss another time.

What is the best way to get to UP Diliman from EDSA Makati?
You’re welcome, eric. Tip: the pasta is really, really good.
Chris, commuting? Take a jeepney from Quezon Avenue going to Philcoa. From there, take the jeepney going to UP campus. If you’re driving, turn right at East Avenue, enter the Elliptical Road then right to Commonwealth Avenue.
I hope I can visit this eating place. It’s very far from my are (Las Pinas).
Sulit yan despite the distance, trosp.
