Ham and cheese omelet
My husband took the kids to school this morning for their twice weekly reporting to the Kumon Center. They were in such a rush that no one had a proper breakfast. Since they would only be there for about an hour, I used that hour to make some ham and cheese omelets. I cooked two [...]

Spaghetti, ham and Alfredo sauce
I don’t think we can have ham sandwiches until we can finish the 2-kilos+ of ham that my husband bought for Christmas. Time to get creative with the ham. Tonight’s dinner was a pasta dish. The sauce is the classic Alfredo sauce but, instead of serving it plain with the pasta, I added chopped ham.

Lemon-butter-garlic prawns
This is one of the blog entries that I thought had been lost forever. Thanks to Kulasa who had been trying out some of my recipes, I can repost the easy recipe for the prawn dish that I distinctly remember that my kids just loved.

Caesar’s salad dressing
My kids used to enjoy only Thousand Island and Ranch salad dressings with their vegetables. Then, I saw an episode of Bob Blumer’s The Surreal Gourmet on the Discovery Travel & Living Channel where he did his version of Caesar’s salad dressing and I decided to try it myself. I wasn’t sure how my kids [...]

Barbequed beef short ribs
Beef short ribs are usually sold chopped up for cooking stews. My husband bought the uncut beef short ribs from Price Smart and they seemed to me that they were calling out to be barbequed.
