Shakers Mudslide
Although I am essentially a wine drinker (red, preferably), I do enjoy cocktails (I love piña colada but I don’t personally know anyone else who does). I love coffee liqueurs as well so Kahlua and Bailey’s are top choices too. But when I was first introduced to Shakers Mudslides, my preferences shifted. At less than half the price of Kahlua and about half the price of Bailey’s, Shakers Mudslides also come in a variety of flavors including, white chocolate, strawberry, mocha, caramel and coffee.
I discovered Shakers Mudslides about three or four years ago. I remember posting this same photo in my old personal journal (it isn’t online anymore). I also remember some catty reader commenting that I shouldn’t be “encouraging” anyone to drink alcohol. Duh, like I was posting subliminal messages to turn every reader into an alcoholic.
Anyway, where was I…??? Oh, yeah, how I discovered Shakers Mudslides. My husband and I were in the supermarket and I was cajoling him to buy a bottle of Bailey’s. That was the time I had quit working and we were a single income family. But the price of Bailey’s had kept going up and he said, “At half the price, I would.” I kept scanning the shelves of bottles and saw Shakers Mudslides. It was half the price of Bailey’s. hehehe I showed it to him and… how could he say no? He said at half the price, he would, didn’t he? Since then, I have tried a variety of its flavors but the Chocolate Mudslide is still my favorite. It goes so well with cakes. ![]()
