Thanks, Filipinas magazine!

Pinoy Cook in Filipinas magazine, April 2006 editionIt was reader Lourdes in the comment thread of my second Lasang Pinoy 8 entry who first informed me that this blog was featured in the April, 2006 edition of Filipinas Magazine, a California (?) publication. When I went to see, the March edition was still online and I thought that Lourdes was referring to the Webwatch section of the March edition which mentioned this blog. Seems there was a full length article in the April, 2006 edition.

Thank you very much, Filipinas Magazine. It’s a lot of fun maintaining Pinoy Cook and I’m happy that I am able to make a lot of moms happy (dads and kids too, I hope). :)

    Wow, congratulations!

You know, my buddy in Japan also visits your site regularly–she didn’t know how to cook until she got her own place, so your site is her virtual cookbook hehehe.

I think what makes your site so great is that the recipes are down-to-earth, hindi maarte. It makes me feel that, hey, I can do that, too!

My day is not complete without dropping by and looking at the yummy dishes you prepare. Yun nga lang, nakakagutom, napapakain tuloy ako ng di oras

Salamat, Chevee. And that is precisely how I always envisioned cooking. Hindi maarte.

Salamat, Iska. I know what you mean by busy. hehehe Ako rin, grabe. Busy with the kids, mostly.

If my husband were the internet buff instead of me, I think the same thing would have happened–he would scour the web for food sites and show them to me. hehehe I have a theory, I think men are naturally more “matakaw”

Hi Gerry. That was the lamb biryani recipe. I had a huge database disaster last December and most entries between mid-August to mid-December last year were lost. Unfortunately, I have no back-up of the lost entries. But I’ll try to reconstruct the lamb biryani recipe from memory and repost it today or tomorrow at the latest. The cream puffs recipe too.
