Update on the noche buena blog

December 7, 2007
Filed under Christmas & New Year

Just a quick note on the progress of the noche buena blog section which is scheduled to go live on December 12th. It’s already viewable but there’s only a static page that you can see for now. All the recipe entries are “future posts”, the timestamps edited to reflect the intended schedule. But just so you know that I haven’t been sleeping on the job, so to speak, let me show you the thumbnails of the photos of some of the recipes in the noche buena blog.

Chicken rellenosquash and potato soup
Corn dogsFresh fruit salad

Just to clarify the schedule, 24 recipes will go live on December 12th. Then, another set of recipes (don’t know yet how many) for New Year’s Eve will go live on December 27th.

Looks like a wonderful noche buena coming up! Can’t wait… though I have been planning what to cook for our noche since October pa. It keeps me excited :)

Actually, those are “suggested” dishes for the noche buena. We don’t cook much over the holidays unless we’re hosting a party. :)

hi connie, off-topic i was watching TFC today - Pilipinas game ka naba? and they use your website ” according to the website pinoycook.net what are the ingredients in making bola-bola and siopao” uy i always visit that site.

    hi con…
actually i saw that game ka na ba kanina rin sa TFC… kung di ka nakapanood it was on the second round when they ask the question about the recipe of bola-bola siopao according to pinoycook.net… the defending champion answered well than the two other remaining contestant.
ganun pala yun if you saw something on TV na very familiar, not only familiar but a habit..nakaka excite! parang something big just happned.
kaya nga lang sad ako kasi hindi kami naka-orbit. orbit is the one who provides the channel 7 here in Riyadh kaya hindi ko mapapanood yung segment mo this coming Dec. 15 or 12?… sayang… pero sabi ni hubby..try daw namin hanapin na lang sa youtube baka sakali daw na ipalabas…sana nga!
anyway…have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family con… continue to share your cooking magic to us… GOd Bless you and happy cooking!!!

    Hi everyone!

New to this blog and Im thankful I came across this site when I searched for Yema recipe thru Yahoo.

Im excited sa coming recipes for Noche Buena. I recently got married and since my husband is an ex-chef, I would like to cook for him kasi we both love to eat. Hopefully, I can teach my mother-in-law some new recipes. Also Connie, do you have easy-to-do “pambaon recipes” for my husband’s nieces? The 12-year-old only eats hotdogs, boiled or fried eggs, pancit canton and instant noodles. I would want to add more variety and nutrition for the food she eats. I’d want to help my 62 year-old mother-in-law who might have ran out of new recipes.

    Thanks!!!
